Three stages, fitted where the water comes in.
Water passes through all three cartridges before it reaches any tap in the house. Sediment comes out first, so the carbon block can do its job for longer.
- Stage 1 — 10 micron sediment: catches sand, rust and grit from the mains
- Stage 2 — 5 micron sediment: finer particles the first stage lets through
- Stage 3 — 5 micron Matrikx carbon block: reduces PFAS by around 95%, plus chlorine taste and smell, odours and VOCs
- Protects plumbing, tapware, the hot water system and appliances from sediment
- Stainless steel cover available for outdoor installs

The honest bit
What whole house does — and what it doesn't.
Sydney's tap water meets the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines. A whole-house filter is about comfort and extra protection: no chlorine smell in the shower, less sediment in your hot water system, and lower PFAS at every outlet.
- Good for: showers and baths, skin and hair, laundry, appliances, every tap in the house
- Reduces PFAS by around 95% (Matrikx’s rating for its carbon block) — how carbon block handles PFAS
- Does not remove fluoride — carbon filters cannot do that
- For the cleanest drinking water, add reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap (up to 99% PFAS reduction, removes fluoride)

Mounted and connected at the mains
The system is mounted on the wall near where water enters the house, with isolation valves so it can be serviced without shutting off the street supply.

Every joint is leak-tested and the cartridges are flushed before we leave, so the water is ready to use straight away.

How much does a whole house water filter cost in Sydney?
Our Whole House 3-Stage system is $2,599 fully installed at the mains, including GST, fittings and commissioning. You get the fixed price on the phone before anyone visits.
Does a whole house filter remove PFAS?
Yes. The third stage is a Matrikx carbon block that reduces PFAS by around 95% at every tap and shower in the house. For drinking water, many households also add reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap, which reduces PFAS by up to 99%.
Does a whole house filter remove fluoride?
No. Carbon filtration does not remove fluoride. If you want fluoride reduced in your drinking water, you need reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap. Our 6-stage systems start at $649 installed.
Will it reduce my water pressure?
The system is sized for whole-house flow, so in a normal home you should not notice a difference at the tap or shower. Keeping the cartridges changed on schedule stops pressure dropping as they fill up.
How often does it need servicing?
Once a year. Servicing is a fixed $250 and includes all three mains cartridges plus a pressure and flow check.
What warranty does it come with?
The Whole House 3-Stage system has a 7-year warranty.
Do I need a whole house filter and an under-sink filter?
Not always. Whole house covers showers, baths, laundry and appliances. Reverse osmosis under the sink gives the cleanest drinking and cooking water. If you mainly care about what you drink, start with reverse osmosis. If chlorine on skin and hair, or every tap in the house, matters to you, whole house is the right choice — and the two work well together.
