Why reverse osmosis
Sydney water, minus what you don't want.
Sydney's water is safe to drink, but it carries chlorine, dissolved minerals and, in some pipes, trace metals. A reverse osmosis membrane filters down to 0.0001 microns — smaller than a virus — so what reaches your glass is just water. The remineraliser stage then adds back calcium and magnesium so it tastes clean, not flat.

Sediment and carbon cartridges are typically changed annually. The RO membrane lasts several years and gets tested rather than replaced on a schedule — we only change it when it has actually dropped off. Services are booked on your timeline, and we service systems from any brand at the same fixed price.

Does reverse osmosis remove PFAS and fluoride?
Yes. Our reverse osmosis systems remove PFOS and PFAS, along with up to 99% of dissolved solids, heavy metals like lead and arsenic, chlorine, chloramine and bacteria. A 3-stage carbon system removes chlorine, sediment and VOCs but will not remove PFAS or dissolved solids — for that you need reverse osmosis.
Does reverse osmosis strip the minerals out of the water?
Reverse osmosis does remove minerals along with the contaminants — that is how the membrane works. It is also why every 6-stage system we install includes a remineraliser stage that puts calcium and magnesium back in afterwards. If you want it alkaline as well, the Alkafuse system uses a magnesium-enriched remineraliser to reach pH 9 or pH 10.
Will it affect my water pressure?
Under-sink reverse osmosis runs to its own dedicated tap and does not touch the pressure at the rest of your taps. Systems with a pressure tank deliver a steady flow at the filtered tap; the tankless ED600 delivers on demand with no tank at all.
